HYDROSCULPT
Hydrosculpt is a procedure that uses injections of fat
burners and a treatment called carboxytherapy for body sculpting. This
procedure is a variation of Mesotherapy. This treatment is nonsurgical
and requires a series of sessions, from two to 8 sessions depending on
the area and the ultimate goal.
Areas of treatment that respond well to Hydrosculpt include
the jaw, chin, bra bulge and small tummy bulges. Mesotherapy is an alternative
treatment where a cocktail of nutrients, fat burners and medications are
injected in an area. Mesotherapy originated in France and is used for
skin rejuvenation, reduction of localized fat, reduction of cellulite
and to treat sport injuries. In America, there has been a focus on the
cosmetic aspects of mesotherapy and it is considered an alternative cosmetic
treatment.
Hydrosculpt breaks down fat that is resistant to exercise
and diet. However, for optimal results, it is best that a patient be no
more than 20 pounds heavier than their ideal body weight. The fat burners
that are injected stimulate fat breakdown and there is some destruction
of fat cells. It is essential that patients exercise (cardio 3-4 times
a week) and limit saturated fat and carbs in their diet. Of course diet
and exercise alone results in weight loss and reduction overall. A series
of 6 to 8 treatments is recommended. If patients are using the complete
program which includes the protein shake and a spcific eating plan, results
can be seen after 2-3 treatments. This procedure is for anyone who can
commit to a PERMANENT lifestyle change, wants a procedure with no downtime
and can return for a series of treatments.
